How did you get into flying trapeze?
My boyfriend at the time (fiancé now!) used to be in the band for a flying trapeze act, The Flying Dude. For my birthday a few years ago, his friends bought me an experience voucher for the Circus Space to try all the different circus disciplines. Flying trapeze was my favourite.

What flying trapeze trick do you like to throw the most?
Shooting Star.

What do you like best about teaching flying trapeze?
Being out in the fresh air and sunshine, hanging out with like-minded people and sharing the flying trapeze joy!

What advice would you give to someone who’s on the fence about trying flying trapeze?
It’s normal to be a little bit scared! You have to respect the height and trust your instructors!

What feedback do you give the most often to students?
Take a deep breath, enjoy the view (from the platform), relax and enjoy it!

Tell us something wise that you learned from flying trapeze, or share a funny story.
Doing flying trapeze is like a form of meditation – you have to be completely focused and live in the moment as it all happens very quickly and there’s no time to entertain other thoughts in your head. If you’ve got a lot on your mind, doing a trapeze class is great way to clear your head.
