Dinner For All was commissioned by the City Of London as part of the Bartholomew Fair, 2023.
We were invited to take over London’s Broadgate Circle for a display of aerial, dancing and acrobatics above the heads of the Circle’s diners and guests over three evenings on 7th, 8th and 9th September.
Inspired by the original Bartholomew Fair that began as a cloth trading fair in 11th century and was eventually banned in 1833 due to the debaucherous turn that it had taken, our cast posed as servers and diners descending into defiance as the moved across the circle’s rooftops.
Dancing and acrobatics were choreographed by Gavin Vincent, original live music by Jonjan Kavlakoglu and costume design by Manuela Fleming.
This commission was offered to us in late July 2023 for September delivery, and stands testament to the quality work that Gorilla Circus is able to provide in a short time frame.
